Private Retreats
at Mount Saint Benedict
Book a personal retreat at the monastery
Guest rooms are available at Mount Saint Benedict. Booking a room includes access to a semi-private bath, use of a kitchenette and the guest lounge, and access to the public parts of the monastery, including the library, chapel, and dining room.
Guests--whether staying on the guest wing in the monastery itself, or in one of the hermitages located in the woods on our property, or across the street at our Glinodo Center--are invited to join the sisters for prayer and meals. Spiritual direction from one of our trained sisters can also be offered for guests who are interested.
Arrangements can be made at this link.
The Hermitages
There are three "herms" available to guests, as well as a cabin at Glinodo, our lakefront property across the street from the monastery. These simple spaces offer greater privacy and silence than the monastery guest wing, and include a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
Grounds
We are located on the shore of Lake Erie, on over 100 acres of woods and open green space.
Horarium
Guests are welcome for prayer in the chapel, including during the Liturgy of the Hours. The community prays at 6:30 a.m. Monday-Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, 11:50 a.m. Monday-Saturday, and 5:30 p.m. every night.
In addition to the Liturgy of the Hours, our Sunday celebrations at 9:30 a.m. are also always open to the public and to guests.
